The Killed Sea

 Uncontrollable Sea

Raging Inside.

Too wild to brave.

The tension of the sands of time

And the fear of eyes disproving

Led to the forging of this

Glass bottle,

Sealed air tight.

This ocean now contained,

Molecules and Emotions,

No room to wave,

Desires and Terror,

No room to breathe.

These are a silent friction,

A dead current,

Too suppressed to break free.

So from the outside,

Those looking down

On this opaque glass wall,

Who would know

There is anything inside?

These waters leave wanting,

Dreaming of crashing waves.

Tamed. Yet Fierce.

Bold. Yet Calming.

So shatter the bottle.

Yet these streams run in hiding.

So no one shall see

That the dark’s still within.

But as the particles

Spread so thin,

There’s nothing left.

Except compressed

In every atom

Is the DNA of the Sea:

Untamed. Yet Passive.

Cowardly. Yet Agitating.

A monstrous waste upon the earth.

Puddles that begged to plummet,

Rivers need to tear mountains.

Whitecaps hoping to fly,

Surfs bleeding to seed.

A Sea formed to feed,

Yet this Abyss ailed to slay.

So dreams and nightmares are stayed

Within.

Raped by repression,

The bottle left untouched.

Too much could go wrong.

Keep the cork on.
